  • 0.25 cup low-sodium soy sauce
  • 0.25 cup water
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1.5 tablespoons packed light brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 0.25 teaspoon toasted sesame oil
  • 2 teaspoons peeled and minced fresh ginger
  • 2 teaspoons peeled and minced fresh garlic
  • 2 teaspoons cornstarch
  • optional Sesame seeds and chopped green onions for serving

Preparation Steps
  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Add diced chicken breasts and cook until browned on all sides, about 3-4 minutes per batch. Remove and set aside.
  3. In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, water, honey, brown sugar, rice vinegar, sesame oil, ginger, garlic, and cornstarch.
  4. Return chicken to the skillet, pour in the sauce mixture, and cook until the sauce has thickened and chicken is cooked through, about 2-3 minutes.
  5. Serve hot over steamed rice, garnished with sesame seeds and chopped green onions if desired.
