  • 3.5 pounds beef chuck roast
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 tablespoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon black pepper
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 1 onion large onion, sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

Method
 

Preparation Steps
  1. Combine cumin, smoked paprika, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper in a small bowl. Rub the spice mixture all over the beef chuck roast.
  2. Place the sliced onion and minced garlic at the bottom of the slow cooker. Put the seasoned beef on top.
  3. Pour chicken broth over the beef. Cover and cook on low for 8 hours or until the beef is tender and easily shredded.
  4. Shred the beef with two forks and mix well with the juices before serving.
