  • 8 slices cooked bacon diced
  • 1 small onion diced
  • 1 small green pepper diced
  • 0.25 cup water
  • 1 cup BBQ sauce
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 0.25 cup old fashioned oats
  • 6 buns hamburger buns
  • 12 frozen breaded onion rings cooked to package directions
  • 6 slices American cheese

Method
 

Preparation Steps
  1. Add the ground beef, bacon, onion, green pepper, water, oats, BBQ sauce, and brown sugar to a slow cooker. Stir to combine.
  2. Cover and cook on LOW for 4 to 6 hours.
  3. Add salt and pepper to taste.
  4. Place a slice of cheese on the bottom bun. Top with sloppy joe mixture and two onion rings. Serve hot.
