Preparation Steps
- Cook macaroni according to package instructions, then drain and set aside.
- In a large saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Stir in flour and cook for 1 minute.
- Gradually whisk in milk, cook until mixture thickens, then add cheeses and stir until melted.
- Combine cheese sauce with cooked macaroni and mix well. Let it cool in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.
- Form the mixture into 1.5-inch balls. Dip each ball into beaten eggs, then coat with bread crumbs.
- Heat vegetable oil in a deep skillet over medium-high heat. Fry the balls until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes each side.
- Drain on paper towels and serve hot.
