Preparation Steps
- Generously butter 1 side of each of the 4 slices of bread, set them aside.
- Heat a 10-inch skillet over medium-high heat.
- Place 2 slices of bread butter side down in the heated skillet.
- Lay 1 slice of cheese on each bread slice in the skillet.
- Lay 4 slices of crispy bacon on top of the cheese.
- Evenly slice the avocado and layer on top of the bacon.
- Place remaining slices of cheese on top of the avocado slices.
- Top each sandwich with the remaining slices of buttered bread.
- Gently press down on the tops of the sandwiches with a spatula.
- Cook for 5-7 minutes, flip, and cook an additional 5-7 minutes on the other side.
- Remove from skillet and slice in half to serve.
Notes
For extra crunch, add a sprinkle of crushed red pepper flakes or a dash of hot sauce.
