- In a large Dutch oven or a heavy-bottomed skillet, heat the oil over medium to medium-high heat using a thermometer to gauge the temperature.
- Meanwhile, mix the cream cheese, sriracha, and green onions together in a medium bowl.
- Place approximately 1.5 tablespoons of the mixture in the center of each wonton wrapper.
- Brush the edges of the wrapper with beaten egg, then fold over to create a triangle, sealing the filling inside.
- Bring the remaining two corners together to form a small envelope shape.
- Repeat with remaining filling and wrappers.
- Once the oil reaches 375°F, fry the wontons in batches, about 6 at a time, until golden brown.
- Use a slotted spoon or spider to remove the wontons from the oil and drain on paper towels.
- Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce.
