Preparation Steps
- Preheat oven to 350°F. Line a 9-inch baking dish with parchment paper. Set aside.
- In a medium saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Remove from heat and add chocolate morsels and sugar. Stir until melted and smooth.
- Stir in eggs one at a time, then add vanilla extract. Mix well.
- Add cocoa powder, flour, salt, and baking powder. Stir gently until combined. Pour batter into prepared dish.
- Bake for approximately 35 minutes. Remove from oven and let cool completely.
- Prepare the mint frosting: Beat softened butter with powdered sugar, peppermint extract, green food coloring, and milk until fluffy.
- Spread the mint frosting evenly over cooled brownies. Refrigerate while preparing ganache.
- For the ganache, heat cream until warm but not boiling. Remove from heat and whisk in chocolate chips until smooth.
- Pour ganache over the mint layer and spread evenly. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour before slicing.
